Kentucky Derby Prep Race Schedule and Winners
In order for officials to decide on who will be racing on May 1st, there are a number of Kentucky Derby “Prep” races. These preps will be contested at the major race tracks throughout the US and serve to reduce the current large group of derby hopefuls down to the maximum of twenty starters for the May 7th Derby. Good handicappers know that picking the winner of the Kentucky Derby often depends on keeping up-to-date with these prep races.
